5 Dump Trailer Maintenance Tips to Avoid Downtime

A dump trailer is a workhorse — treat it right and it'll pay you back for years. Our service department sees the same avoidable issues over and over, so here are five quick habits.

1. Grease the hinges & pivots

A few pumps of grease keeps the hoist and gate moving freely.

2. Check the battery

The onboard battery runs your hydraulic pump. Keep it charged and clean the terminals.

3. Inspect tires & lug nuts

Check pressure and re-torque lugs after the first 50 miles on a new trailer.

4. Keep the bed clean

Rinse out mud and debris so it doesn't rust or jam the gate.

5. Service the brakes

Have your electric brakes checked yearly. Need help? Our service department is here.
