What Each Factory Actually Promises
Quoted conservatively from the manufacturer's own published terms, re-read September 2026. The written warranty that comes with your trailer is the document that controls — if anything here and there disagree, the manufacturer's document wins.
- 3-Year Structural
- 2-Year Comprehensive
- 2-Year Roadside Reimbursement
- 2-Year Pro-Rated Paint
Load Trail LLC, Sumner, Texas. The most complete published warranty on our lot: a structural term, a comprehensive term on every component, a paint term and a roadside plan, all included on every new Load Trail. It is also the one with the most paperwork rules, so read the registration and claim windows.
What's covered & for how long
- Structure, 3 years: "limited to the main frame, cross members, railings and sub-frame ONLY."
- Every component, 2 years: "every component to be free of defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service." Load Trail pays for replacement parts and for shop labor it pre-approves, at its flat-rate or contract rate, and pays ground shipping on warranty parts (expedited freight is on you).
- Paint, 2 years pro-rated — defects in the finish, not damage to it (see the exclusions).
- Roadside, 2 years: reimbursement for towing or road service, flat tire changes, fluid delivery, jump starts and lock-outs — on the trailer and the tow vehicle, personal or business use, on or off road, U.S. and Canada. "Rules & Restrictions Apply."
- Parts Load Trail didn't build — hydraulic packages, electronics, cranes, welders, tool-drawer packages — carry that component maker's warranty. Load Trail "will act responsibly to facilitate" the repair, but the failed part has to go back within 30 days or you're billed for the replacement.
- Replacement parts carry whatever is left of the 2-year term; they don't restart it. Parts bought over Load Trail's parts counter carry only the part maker's warranty.
What's not covered
- Tires — "covered by the Manufacture of the tires," not Load Trail.
- Wear items: "light bulbs, paint, brake lining, brake drums, tires, decking and the like" that wear out rather than fail.
- Paint damage from wear, exposure, chipping, scratching, road elements such as magnesium chloride, sand, improper wash solvents or weather.
- Lumber: warped, faded or cracked flooring more than 180 days from the manufacture date.
- Damage from loose nuts, bolts or screws, including improperly torqued wheel lug nuts.
- Any trailer used as a rental unit.
- Hauling the trailer to the repair facility, diagnostic time and overtime premiums.
- Depreciation from normal wear, lack of maintenance, misuse or improper storage.
What voids it
- No registration card within 30 days of delivery — the warranty simply doesn't apply.
- Accidents and collisions; improper operation, misuse or negligence; overloading past the rated capacity; unsuitable storage; chemicals, acts of God, vandalism.
- Skipping maintenance. You have to do the maintenance and inspections in the operator's manual and keep "documented evidence" — Load Trail can cancel the warranty if you can't show it.
- Repairs, alterations, modifications or accessories "not made or installed by Load Trail or authorized representative or approved repair facility," and service done with parts that don't meet Load Trail's spec.
- Altered or removed identification numbers; mounting a Load Trail body on a chassis other than the factory installation.
Transfer, registration & filing
- Transferable? Not stated. The policy is written to "the purchaser" and never says it passes to a second owner — ask us and we'll get Load Trail's answer in writing before you count on it.
- Register within 30 days. We file it before you leave the lot — ask for the copy. Load Trail also has an online form at loadtrail.com.
- The clock starts at your purchase date or one year after the trailer shipped to the dealer, whichever comes first. Ask us for the ship date on the unit you're looking at.
- Move fast. Within 5 days of discovering a problem, the trailer goes back to the selling dealer; the dealer's claim form has to reach Load Trail within 10 days. All work must be pre-authorized by Load Trail's Warranty Department or it isn't paid.
- Load Trail may repair, replace, or refund the purchase price at its option. Disputes fall under Texas law in Lamar County, Texas.
- Factory contacts (for your records — we make these calls): customerservice@loadtrail.com, 1-800-650-5194; Warranty Department 903-783-3915.
Stuck on the road? The roadside program is the one thing you call directly: 1-833-278-3396, give them the VIN, pay the provider, then submit the invoice for reimbursement. Everything else, text us. Load Trail's 232 page → Full warranty policy (PDF) →
- 5-Year Structural
- 2-Year Bumper-to-Bumper, Parts & Labor
- 2024+ Model Years
New brand, first units on the way. Ragin Trailers signed on as a MAXX-D dealer in September 2026. There's nothing to walk up and kick yet — MAXX-D dumps, tilts, goosenecks and roll-offs are factory orders through us for now — but the warranty is published, so here it is in full. Want one? Text 337.279.2620 to order yours and get a quote.
MAXX-D Trailers (Maxey Trailers Mfg., Inc.), Brookston, Texas. Every MAXX-D is sold through a dealer — MAXX-D doesn't retail direct or offer factory pick-up — and the factory's own footer says it: "Looking for Warranty / Parts? Please Contact Your Local Dealer." On a MAXX-D you order from us, that's us.
What's covered & for how long
- Structure, 5 years (2024 and newer model years): "applies only to the main frame of the trailer, which includes and is limited to frame rails, tongue or neck, and cross-members."
- Everything else, 2 years, parts and labor: "all components, including but not limited to ramps, railings, suspension, lights, and hydraulic dump cylinders." In MAXX-D's words, labor "for replacing defective components" is covered during this period. Structural parts are excluded here because they're under the 5-year term.
- Batteries, 1 year — and only if a test shows the battery is defective.
- The clock starts at your purchase date or one year after the manufacture date, whichever comes first.
- How the structural money works: MAXX-D defines the payout on a failed structural component as a percentage of its replacement that steps down each year — 70% in year one, 60% in year two, 50% in year three, 40% in year four, 30% in year five. Nothing past year five. That's a term most brands don't publish; we'd rather you read it here than find it later.
- 2023 and earlier model years carry the 3-2-1 policy that was in force at the time (3-year structure on frame rails and cross members, 2-year components with labor on you in year two, 1-year comprehensive on "White Series" models). The units we order are current model years, so the 5-2 is the one that applies.
What's not covered
- Tires — a wear item; tire claims go to the tire maker named on the label on the front of the trailer.
- Wear items: "tires, flooring (all flooring, including wood, blackwood, or steel), paint, brakes, brake linings, bearings, seals, winch ropes, and hoses." No paint warranty at all.
- Environmental damage: "corrosion, rust, UV exposure, saltwater, or other environmental factors." South Louisiana note — salt air and a summer of sun are on you, so wash it and keep it under cover when you can.
- Acts of nature: accidents, floods, hurricanes and other events outside MAXX-D's control.
- Improper use or loading: overloading, unbalanced loads, or using the trailer outside its intended purpose.
- Repairs or modifications done without MAXX-D's prior written approval.
- Hauling the trailer to and from the dealer, and any downtime, loss of use, towing or inconvenience.
What voids it
- "The trailer has been subjected to negligence or misuse."
- "The Trailer has been loaded beyond its stated capacity."
- "The trailer has not been properly maintained, including failure to follow maintenance guidelines as outlined in the owner's manual." Keep the grease and brake receipts — "proof of maintenance compliance" is on MAXX-D's claim checklist.
- Working on it before the claim is approved. MAXX-D reimburses "authorized repairs"; its older policy spelled out that unapproved work "may void this Limited Warranty." Send the text first.
Transfer, registration & filing
- Not transferable. "This Limited Warranty is not transferable and does not confer any rights to any subsequent owner." Original purchaser only.
- Register it. MAXX-D has a warranty registration form on its site (serial number, dealer, purchase and delivery dates). The current 5-2 text doesn't set a deadline; the older 3-2-1 policy required it within 30 days, so we treat 30 days as the rule and file it at delivery.
- 5 days. "Notify your authorized MAXX-D dealer of any defect within five (5) days of discovery," with the VIN, a description, photos and maintenance proof. "Dealers must submit claims to MAXX-D for review." MAXX-D acknowledges within 30 days.
- Keep the broken part. Defective parts have to be held for 30 days after approval and sent back if MAXX-D asks — leave it with our shop.
- Axles: MAXX-D builds on Dexter or Lippert axles depending on the model. MAXX-D covers the suspension as a component for 2 years; the axle maker's own warranty runs separately and may be longer — see axles & tires.
- Factory contact (for your records — we make the call): 1-844-41MAXXD, 7075 FM 38 N, Brookston, TX 75421.

- 1-Year Materials & Factory Workmanship
- 90-Day Electrical, Axles, Bearings, Running Gear
- Original Consumer Only
Falcon TrailerWorks, Inc., Tyler, Texas. A short, plain warranty on a value-priced utility line: "Falcon TrailerWorks, Inc. provides the following (1) Year Warranty on its manufactured products to the original consumer." Falcon publishes no claim procedure, so on a Falcon you bought here, the filing and the freight to Tyler are ours to handle.
What's covered & for how long
- 1 year from the date of sale: the trailer is warranted to be free from defective material and factory workmanship — frame, deck, gate, welds, the parts Falcon builds.
- 90 days: "electrical components, axles, bearings, and associated running gear parts."
- The remedy is repairing or replacing the covered part that's shown to be defective, with Falcon's "best effort" to do it within 60 days of receiving the part.
What's not covered
- Paint: "paint, finish durability and painter's workmanship" are excluded outright.
- Wear items: "Tires, grease, and lubricants are considered normal wear items."
- Separately-warranted parts: tires, axles, axle assemblies, suspension components and any other equipment "warranted separately by the respective manufacturers." After Falcon's 90 days, the axle maker's own warranty is what's left — check the axle tag and see axles & tires.
- "Any lost time, storage, towing or lost wages."
What voids it
- Any trailer "altered, repaired, or modified without prior written authorization" from Falcon. That includes welding on a toolbox or rewiring the lights yourself — have our shop do it and we'll get the authorization first.
- Overloading and abuse aren't listed separately, but the warranty only covers defects in Falcon's material and workmanship — a bent axle from a load past the GVWR isn't a defect.
Transfer, registration & filing
- Original consumer only. Falcon's warranty is written to "the original consumer," so it doesn't follow the trailer to a second owner.
- Register it. Falcon's online form asks for the serial number, model, length, purchase date and dealer. No deadline is published; we submit it at the sale anyway.
- No claim deadline is published — but the 90-day items make speed matter. Text us the day you notice a light or a bearing acting up.
- Parts go back to Tyler, TX. Falcon's terms say defective parts are "delivered to our factory, charges prepaid." That shipping and the back-and-forth with the factory is the part we handle.
- Shortest factory warranty on the lot. If a longer factory warranty matters more to you than the price difference, look at the Load Trail parked next to it.

- 5-Year Structural
- 1-Year Components
- Lifetime Structural on Lionshead Wheels
- 1 · 2 · 5 Lionshead Tire Program
Rock Solid Cargo, Douglas, Georgia. Rock Solid's website publishes the headline — "a five-year structural warranty on every unit" — and the brochure adds the Lionshead tire and wheel program. The one-year component schedule, the 15-day windows and the exclusions below are quoted from Rock Solid's warranty text as reproduced on a Rock Solid dealer's website, not from Rock Solid's own site (which publishes only the five-year structural term) and not from a sheet we have checked ourselves. Treat them as a guide: confirm each of them against the written warranty sheet in your delivery packet, because that sheet is the one that controls.
What's covered & for how long
- Structure, 5 years: Rock Solid's site publishes "a five-year structural warranty on every unit"; the dealer-reproduced text puts it as "warrants to the original consumer purchaser for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase" — the steel-tube main frame and the 16-inch on-center tube sidewalls that its About page calls out. Tied with MAXX-D for the longest structural term on this page, and the longest on an enclosed trailer we sell.
- 1 year: "electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, sealant, paint, undercoating and fiberglass parts" — as reproduced by a Rock Solid dealer; confirm the list with the sheet in your packet.
- Wheels, lifetime: the standard Lionshead wheels carry Lionshead's lifetime structural warranty — "If any wheel suffers structural damage for any reason, we will replace it for free."
- Tires, Lionshead 1·2·5·Lifetime+: a first-year "No Excuses Guarantee" that replaces a radial for performance problems the defect warranty wouldn't cover, two years of complimentary roadside assistance, and a five-year warranty against defects on the radial ST tires, measured from the date code on the sidewall. NitroFill in every tire. Tires are usually the first thing excluded on a trailer; here they have their own coverage.
What's not covered
- "Defacing, scratches, dents, chips, tears, on any surface not caused by warrantor."
- Routine maintenance — roof sealant, door adjustments, bearings and brakes are upkeep, not warranty.
- "Damage from unauthorized repairs, abuse, misuse, or neglect."
- Axles aren't addressed in Rock Solid's published terms, so the axle maker's warranty is what applies — check the axle tag and see axles & tires.
- Road hazards on tires (nails, curbs, potholes) aren't a defect. Lionshead's first-year No Excuses program is the exception; after month twelve, that's on you.
What voids it
- Repairs by anyone Rock Solid didn't authorize, and abuse, misuse or neglect — the same three that show up as excluded claims. Want a roof vent, E-track or a 110V package added? Have our shop do it.
- Missing the paperwork windows below. Fifteen days is short; we handle the card at the sale so it isn't on you.
Transfer, registration & filing
- Original purchaser only. The dealer-reproduced text runs to "the original consumer purchaser"; it isn't written as transferable. Confirm with the sheet in your packet.
- Warranty card within 15 days of purchase "to obtain warranty service" — as reproduced by a Rock Solid dealer; confirm with the sheet in your packet. We complete and return the card when you take delivery — ask for the copy.
- Report within 15 days of when a defect "is, or should have been discovered" — as reproduced by a Rock Solid dealer; confirm with the sheet in your packet. Don't wait on the deadline: text us the day you see it.
- Rock Solid doesn't publish a claim procedure; its About page puts it as "the dealer is the local face of the brand." On a Rock Solid you bought here, we file the claim and deal with Douglas (912-493-2320) — that's our practice, not the factory's fine print.
- Tire and wheel claims go to Lionshead, not Rock Solid: completed warranty form, bill of sale and photos within 7 days of discovering the defect. Keep the Lionshead paperwork from your packet — the roadside number is on it, and we'll file the form with you.
- Food trailer buyers: the Rock Solid shell under a Ragin' Custom build carries this same structural warranty. Equipment inside carries each maker's own warranty — see the Ragin' Custom note below.

- 3-Year Structural (Steel, Aluminum & Road Force)
- 1-Year Structural on FastTrac
- 1-Year Limited on Components
- 1-Year Corrosion on Exposed Steel
American Cargo Group, Inc., doing business as Wells Cargo of IN, Inc., Elkhart, Indiana. Wells Cargo prints the whole warranty in Section 10 of the owner's manual, and it is the most specific document on this page — it names every covered part and 25 kinds of excluded claims. The short version: the box is covered, the running gear isn't, and nobody but a Wells Cargo dealer touches it.
What's covered & for how long
- Structure, 3 years on Wells Cargo steel and aluminum trailers and Road Force models; 1 year on FastTrac. The model on the tag decides — ask us which one you're looking at.
- Structural means: main rails, cross members, wall posts, roof bows and trusses, tongue A-frame, structural welds, corner posts, outriggers, wheel wells, headers, rear perimeter and the ramp door structure — "and only the following items."
- 1-year limited on the rest of the box: plumbing, fasteners, windows, doors, seals and sealant, prefinished exterior metal and bonding, fenders, undercoating, fiberglass, caps, aluminum trim, floors, wood trim, cabinets, electrical components, lights, mechanical jacks, locks, paint finish, interior walls, vents, ramp hinges, stone guard and carpet.
- 1-year corrosion coverage on the paint over exposed steel (A-frame, rear end rail, rear hoop, door framing) and the chassis undercoating — for defects in the coating, not damage to it.
- The remedy is repair. Wells Cargo replaces the trailer or refunds the price only if it decides the trailer can't be repaired.
What's not covered
- Running gear and anything Wells didn't build: axles and axle components (including tow-in, tow-out and camber), tires, rims, couplers, ramp door springs, batteries, generators, A/C, awnings, winches, electric jacks, landing gear, food and beverage equipment, appliances and living-quarters items. Claims on those are passed through to the maker — see axles & tires.
- Paint and finish damage: scratches, dents and chips; "paint, decals, or graphics regardless of cause"; paint deterioration from use or exposure; corrosion or rust damage; damage from road salt, magnesium or calcium chloride, fertilizer, cement or caustic chemicals; color or gloss change. On Blackout (Phantom) trim, coating that wears off hinges, hasps and bar locks isn't covered and touch-up isn't reimbursed.
- How it's towed and loaded: overloading past the GVWR, improper hitch ball or tow-vehicle hookup, loose or improperly torqued lug nuts, tongue-weight problems from bad loading, concentrated "point loads," off-road use, snow or ice on the roof, and — read this one twice — towing a trailer under 10,000 lb GVWR with a vehicle rated over one ton.
- Damage to cargo or the tow vehicle, tow-vehicle wiring, tire alignment, theft, vandalism, acts of God.
- Seam pops on screwless (bonded) exteriors: Wells sends the screws; no labor is paid unless a dealer installs them at warranty rates.
- Towing, transportation, meals and lodging to get warranty service.
What voids it
- "Any repair or modification to the trailer, or addition of accessories to the trailer, by anyone other than Wells Cargo or an approved Wells Cargo dealer." Want E-track, a roof vent or a wiring add-on? Have our shop do it.
- Repairs done without Wells Cargo's prior written approval aren't paid, even by a dealer.
- Rental use — the warranty "is not applicable to the rental of any products."
- Harsh or acid-based cleaners on aluminum wheels "will void all warranty claims" (Section 11 of the manual). Mild soap and water only.
- Wells Cargo's own finding of abuse or misuse is "final and binding."
Transfer, registration & filing
- Not transferable — "THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE TO SUBSEQUENT OWNERS."
- No registration, no warranty. The trailer has to be registered by the dealer or on wellscargo.com within 30 days of purchase, and "will not apply if a completed warranty registration is not on record." We do it at the sale — ask for the confirmation.
- Tell the selling dealer "immediately upon discovery of the defect" — that's us. It's then the selling dealer's job to notify Wells Cargo and request authorization and parts.
- 180 days. Any action to enforce the warranty has to start within the warranty period or 180 days of discovering the defect, whichever comes first.
- Hauling it in is on you; the repair itself is done at an approved Wells Cargo dealer — our shop.

- Dexter 5-Year Sprung Axles
- Dexter 10-Year Torflex Suspension
- Dexter 1-Year Seals & Couplers
- Tires Always the Tire Maker
The parts most likely to give you trouble on the road are the ones the trailer makers hand off. Every brand on this page sends tires to the tire manufacturer. Axles vary: Load Trail covers every component for two years and MAXX-D names the suspension as a covered component for two years; Falcon covers axles for 90 days; Wells Cargo excludes them entirely; Rock Solid's published terms don't mention them. In every case the axle maker's own warranty runs alongside, and on many of these trailers that maker is Dexter.
Dexter's terms
- 5 years: sprung axles, sprung suspension systems, hydraulic surge actuators and Dexter Genuine Replacement Parts.
- 10 years: the suspension components of Torflex torsion axles.
- 2 years: electric-over-hydraulic actuators (DX Series, BrakeRite) and Tow Assist electronics.
- 1 year: grease and oil seals on every product, couplers, and the DX6.6 surge actuator.
- All measured from the original retail purchase; Dexter may repair or replace the part or the axle, or refund the lesser of the purchase price and current list price. Labor only if Dexter approves it.
What Dexter won't cover
- Normal wear — brake linings, drums and bearings that wore out did their job.
- Improperly torqued wheel nuts — the same exclusion Load Trail and Wells Cargo carry. Re-torque after the first trip and check before every haul.
- Overloading, improper loading, lack of maintenance (including after prolonged storage), improper alignment or installation.
- Alterations, including welding brackets to the axle; moving the axle to a different trailer; parts not supplied by Dexter.
- Cosmetic finish or corrosion; how the brake wiring was hooked to the trailer or tow vehicle.
- Towing fees, loss of use, meals and lodging.
Transfer & filing
- Original purchaser only. "These warranties are nontransferable."
- Filing: Dexter takes claims from the owner, the dealer or the trailer maker through its online form — the 17-digit VIN, the serial number on each axle and photos of the defect are required. warranty@dexteraxle.com, (574) 413-9066. We file it with the trailer-maker claim so you only send one text.
- Lippert axles (on some MAXX-D models) carry Lippert's own limited warranty, published at support.lci1.com — ask us for the terms on your build.
- Not sure whose axle is under your trailer? The tag on the axle tube says. Send a photo of it with the VIN.
Tires & wheels
- Tires are the tire maker's on every brand here. The DOT date code on the sidewall is usually the clock, so a trailer that sat before you bought it has already used some of it.
- Rock Solid's Lionshead radials are the exception worth knowing: five years against defects, a first-year No Excuses replacement, two years of roadside assistance, and a lifetime structural warranty on the wheels — claims go to Lionshead within 7 days with the form, bill of sale and photos.
- Load Trail's roadside plan will reimburse a flat-tire change for two years even though the tire itself isn't Load Trail's to warranty.
- Road hazards — nails, curbs, potholes — are not a defect under any of these. That's what a spare is for; ask us about one when you buy.

Our custom food trailer builds start with a Rock Solid Cargo shell, so the structure carries Rock Solid's five-year structural warranty above. The kitchen — hood, fire suppression, appliances, generator, water system — carries each equipment maker's own warranty. Ask us about the build work before you order and we'll put our answer in writing on your build agreement.
Bought a trailer from us that isn't listed on this page — a Diamond C, for instance? Same process — text the VIN to 337.279.2620 and we'll pull the terms for your brand.
