Deposits

A $250 deposit takes a trailer on our lot off the market and holds it for you for 7 days (longer only by written agreement). Deposits are non-refundable. When you buy, the full deposit is applied to your purchase price. If you do not complete the purchase within the hold window, the deposit is forfeited and the trailer goes back on the market. We tell you this before we take your card, and it is printed on your deposit receipt.

Incoming truckload units. A $250 deposit reserves a trailer that is on order before it comes off the truck. Same terms: non-refundable, applied to the price at pickup.

Load Trail factory stock. A $250 deposit puts your name on a build from Load Trail's factory list and orders it onto our next truck to Lafayette. The deposit is non-refundable and is applied to your purchase price at pickup. We confirm the order and the expected arrival with you by text.

Special orders. A deposit on a trailer we order or have built to your specification is non-refundable once we place the order with the manufacturer. We confirm the order date with you in writing.

The one exception. If Ragin Trailers cannot deliver the trailer you put a deposit on (for example, it is damaged before delivery or the manufacturer cannot fill the order), we refund your deposit in full.

If you take delivery before financing is final and the financing is not completed within 25 days, the sale is cancelled, you return the trailer, and every sum you paid is refunded (Louisiana R.S. 32:1261).

New trailers

All new-trailer sales are final once the purchase paperwork is signed. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on trailers, including for change of mind. Louisiana has no cooling-off period for a purchase made at a dealership. Please inspect your trailer with us before you leave the lot; we walk every unit with you.

Every new trailer is covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty. Ragin Trailers does not add a separate warranty, but we file the claim for you and perform authorized warranty work in our Lafayette shop. Terms by brand are on our warranty page.

Used trailers

Used trailers, trade-ins and repos are sold as-is, where-is, with the waiver of warranty stated in your signed purchase documents. All used-trailer sales are final. Look it over, tow it, ask us anything before you sign.

Custom food trailers and custom builds

Custom builds are made to your specifications and cannot be returned. Your deposit and all progress payments are non-refundable once fabrication starts. Change orders after fabrication starts are priced separately. We schedule a final walk-through with you before delivery; anything to be fixed is listed in writing on the walk-through sheet.

Parts and accessories

• All parts and accessory sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on parts, including special-order parts, electrical components, tires and installed parts.
• Check the part number and fitment with us at the counter before you pay; we are glad to help you get the right part the first time.
• If we sold you the wrong part or it arrived damaged, we replace it at no charge.
• Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty where one is offered; bring the part and your receipt to the counter and we handle the claim.

Delivery

Delivery is free within 50 miles of Lafayette on our own truck, and we hand the trailer to you in person. A trailer delivered by a third-party carrier is your responsibility once the carrier takes possession. Note any damage on the carrier's delivery ticket before signing and report shipping damage to us within 48 hours so we can help with the claim. Details are on our delivery page.

When a refund is owed

The only time we owe a refund is when Ragin Trailers cannot deliver what you paid for. In that case the full amount goes back to the original payment method within 10 business days. A card refund can take a few more days to show on your statement depending on your bank.

Written terms control

Any promise about repairs, included items or special conditions must be written in your signed purchase documents. If it is not on paper, it is not part of the deal.
